JAL organizes Tokyo Narita-Boston inaugural flight tour

You saw this coming right? ;) Japan Airlines (JAL) will of course organize a special inaugural flight tour to celebrate the upcoming launch of Tokyo Narita (NRT) - Boston (BOS) 787-8 service. Since this is a long-haul route, its probably a good idea not to do a same day turn around (although some might want to). Therefore JAL is giving you two options and you can choose to be on the inaugural NRT-BOS flight (JL008) or the inaugural BOS-NRT (JL007) flight.

JL008 (NRT-BOS) Inaugural Flight Option
April 22 2012 JST
- Special NRT Tour to learn about the JAL operation
- Depart from NRT to BOS on JL008 at 11:30 JST on April 22 2012
- Receive commemorative gift and certificate
- Arrive Boston at 11:30 EDT on the same day
- Local tour and enjoy famous Boston dishes for lunch

April 23 2012 EDT
- Luncheon with the JL008 inaugural flight crew members (Yea chance for you to interact with them :D)

April 24 2012 EDT
- Free time. Enjoy Boston :D

April 25 2012 EDT
- Depart BOS at 13:20 EDT on JL007 and arrives NRT at 15:50 JST on the next day

JL007 (BOS-NRT) Inaugural Flight Option
April 19 2012 JST
- Special NRT Tour to learn about the JAL operation
- Depart from NRT to New York JFK (JFK) on JL006 at 11:20 JST on April 29 2012
- Arrive JFK at 11:15 EDT on the same day
- Quick NYC local tour after arrival
- Free time in the evening

April 20 2012 EDT
- Free time in the morning.
- Take Amtrak from NYC to BOS

April 21 2012 EDT
- Local tour and enjoy famous Boston dishes for lunch
- Free time in the afternoon. Enjoy BOS!

April 22 2012 EDT
- Depart BOS at 13:20 EDT on the inaugural JL007 flight and arrives NRT at 15:50 JST on the next day
- Receive commemorative gift and certificate

Sales start from 14:00 JST March 22 2012 on JAL website (Japanese only). My guess is the JL008 option will be the more popular one as that is the true inaugural flight and more importantly the first scheduled JAL 787-8 flight (hey you can say for sure they won't organize a domestic or short-haul international charter flight before this right :P). And you get to interact with the flight crew too! To me, that's a way more attractive option.

So I guess we can expect similar tours for San Diego and Helsinki? :D
