To celebrate for the launch of the new Tokyo Narita (NRT) - Boston (BOS) route, Japan Airlines (JAL) has collaborate with Duskin Co to create a JAL Original version of doughnuts, AIR MISDO, from the famous Mister Donuts franchise served exclusively on JAL flights from NRT to BOS.
Mister Donuts is the largest doughnut franchise in Japan. And more importantly, it was established in Boston back in 1995. So this is a perfect fit to celebrate for the launch of the Boston route.

The AIR MISDO will be served as the second meal up arrival in Economy class cabin and business class passengers can order this from the a la carte menu at any time they want after the first meal service. The AIR MISDO comes in a set of 2 doughnuts: chocolate-coated cinnamon ring and maple-flavored ring of class Mister Donut doughnuts. Alongside with these, a Boston's signature clam chowder will also be served.

Other than AIR MISDO, JAL will also be serving Mister Donut's popular "Boston 1955" as the dessert of the first meal. Boston 1955 is an ice cream sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies sold until 2003 and it is no longer available in stores. JAL is bringing this back just for the launch of the Boston route.

AIR MISDO and Boston 1955 will be available exclusively on JL008 from April 22 2012 till the end of June 2012. For more details, you can refer to JAL Press Release (Japanese, English)
